About Kaarigari Durbar

Where Heritage Meets the Modern Home

Kaarigari Durbar was founded by Purnima Singh, an interior designer with a deep love for art, craft, and the quiet beauty of handmade objects. For years, while designing spaces for clients, Purnima noticed something missing. Young people wanted homes that felt personal and soulful, not filled with mass produced pieces that looked the same in every apartment.

Our Story

Purnima’s journey began with a simple belief: beautiful, handcrafted objects should not be locked away in traditional markets or dusty showrooms. They deserve to live in the everyday spaces of a new generation, on modern dining tables, open shelves, minimalist kitchens, and thoughtfully designed homes. She works closely with skilled ceramic artisans across India, supporting them with fair opportunities, design collaboration, and a platform that values their craft.

Our Mission

We exist to support the makers by creating a direct bridge between artisans and customers who appreciate authentic work. We aim to make heritage relevant again by offering pieces that feel fresh, graphic, and contemporary—the kind of objects young people actually want to use, gift, and collect.
